Great greywater hose give-away - terms and conditionsAs part of Think water, act water, the ACT Government's strategy for sustainable water resource management, the ACT Government offered a free greywater diversion hose program for a limited period. All 10,000 hoses available through the program have been distributed and the program has now closed. Terms and conditions1. To be eligible to receive a free greywater diversion hose through this program, the property on which the hose is to be installed must be a residential property in the ACT and connected to ACTEW Corporation's water supply network. 2. Only one free greywater diversion hose may be claimed per residential property. 3. A completed registration form and proof of ACT residency (e.g. current driver's licence or recent utility bill) must be provided when claiming the free greywater diversion hose. Registration forms are available from Magnet Mart Home warehouse stores in the ACT. 4. The Australian Capital Territory Government (the Territory) reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change any or all of the terms and conditions of the program or to close the program without prior notice. 5. The free greywater diversion hose offer is available for a limited time only, while stocks last. 6. Recipients agree to read the Greywater – frequently asked questions information sheet provided, before installing the greywater hose. 7. The Territory and its servants and agents take no responsibility for any damage to washing machines that may be caused through using the greywater diversion hose provided through this program. Recipients are advised to seek advice from their washing machine manufacturer prior to using the hose and connector, and to drain all water downhill to a position lower than the washing machine. 8. Recipients must release and indemnify the Territory and its servants and agents from any claims, demands or liabilities which they may have or which any other person may have in relation to or arising from the installation and use of the greywater diversion hose received through this program. 9. Recipients consent to and recognise that the Territory and its servants and agents may contact them to conduct research about the use of the greywater diversion hose and may use details of the property's water consumption for research related to the program. 10. The information collected on the registration form will be used by the Territory and its servants and agents to register recipients of the greywater diversion hose. The information may be used by the Territory for research and other matters relating to the program, and to provide program participants with information about other ACT Government water efficiency programs.
