Greenhouse Gas Abatement Scheme This allows the ACT Government to redirect WaterSmart Homes funding into other existing programs like the GardenSmart service and to look at developing new programs to assist households to be more water-efficient. Details of new programs will be included on the tune-ups and rebates page when they are available. For further information about the closure of the program, call 13 22 81. The following list contains links to those accredited companies that have advised they are actively running light globe and/or showerhead give-away or replacement programs in the ACT. This list was last updated in January 2008.
Provision of this information does not constitute endorsement of any particular company's program by the ACT Government. The list is not guaranteed to be exhaustive at all times, as companies may open and/or close programs without advice to the ACT Government. Accredited companies are invited to advise Water Resources of commencement and closure of programs to allow this list to be updated.

and energy-efficient light bulbs at no cost to ACT residents. You
may have seen some of these companies at displays in your local shopping
centre or 'door knocking' in your suburb. They can do this free-of-charge
because they trade the resulting Greenhouse Gas Abatement Cerificates
to electricity retailers and certain other companies that need credits
when they fail to meet their greenhouse gas abatement targets.
